It was absolutely PERFECT weather and so we decided to take a boat ride with John, Jeff, Colby and Logan

4th of July was extra special as usual.  The weather was mostly perfect...it was either perfect or raining, but the rain didn't last very long.  Thank you Mom and Dad for opening up the Lake House to everyone.  We have new memories that thanks to technology will last forever.  Abigail introduced herself (in motion) to Lake Lure in a BIG WAY, she is on the map now!!!!  We relaxed a lot, boated and tubed a lot, did some construction (steps, dock, house trim), enjoyed way too much food, visited non-stop, kept in touch on the internet (thanks Mom), did some clean up here and there (thanks to the almost tornado strength winds early on in the week), kept the bugs away thanks to the fire pit (great job Stephen), made too many runs "into town" for this or that, and lastly it was a most special 4th of July weekend at Lake Lure because Grandad's ashes were returned to the Lake.  We love and miss you Grandad and Grandmom.
