Clyde made himself at home on vacation

This is a poster of ALL the lighthouses in NC.

This is the one I visited, it was fantastic and historic...

here it is!

Fresnel lenses are the lenses typically used in lighthouses

They have one on display at the National History Museum at the Smithsonian in DC

And the sunset on the sound side was spectacular!

This was a very unique State Park.... a HUGE sand dune

That is Kim and the dogs in the above photo, and someone learning to hang glide below..

Jethro is looking quite studly don't you think?

And Clyde looks like a desert dog....this dune was HUGE

This little oasis helped the dogs cool off....

This is where the dune is going, which is towards the Sound, moves about 6 feet a year...the dogs just wanted to chase beach birds

These two pictures show how massive this dune was...

those little things down there are Kim and the dogs... I was on top of the dune looking down.
