Jeff and Ron resting up for the fishing to come!

They grow massive Crocodiles in Costa Rica!

    And they look hungry!

....and happy, must have had a good lunch!

I think we were talking about the "lucky banana" theory of sportfishing.... apparently they are the curse on a boat, but not for us!

This place was so beautiful.  Los Suenos Marriott in Costa Rica... absolutely gorgeous!

For the Rucker's this is the 4th Annual Trip of a Lifetime! I'm sure it'll get up into the 30th trip of a lifetime someday!

This was my first Sail, we had big gear and it was still a bear to get them in the boat.  The captain helped a lot by maneuvering the boat, but it was still a fight to remember.

This is how it is when the are close to the boat right before we unhook them.

Comparably, mine was a little guy.  He's my favorite, but not a monster.  Look at those eyes, how cool!

Jeff and Ron chillin' in the shade!  We were on the boat from 7am to 3pm.

This is a BIG Sail.  It was Jeff's first.  Estimated at 115 to 130 lbs!  Nice fish Jeff!

Ron's first Sail, looking good!  By the way, our first mate was Louis!  He is very good.

Look at the sail, it is brilliantly colored with a beautiful purple color.  By the time the fight is over, they're winded and a lot of the color fades, but they are just magnificent!

This picture shows the color event better.

Jeff and Mike taking a breather after a catch!

Mike after one of his big boys!

    Fish ON!

    It's a big one!

    A huuuuuge Sail!

    That's fiesty!

    But he wears down!

    Absolutely Gorgeous!

    Nice Fish Ron!

Two fish on at the same time, both landed!

This is my favorite picture of this trip, the captain and mate let us actually de-hook and land the sailfish for pictures...very cool.

Resting up for the next big bite!

I attempted to pull this thing in the boat, it is REALLY hard to get them up and in for a quick picture and then we put them back in the water to revive them and in a few seconds they are on their way!

Ron caught it, Jeff landed it, nice work fellas (all this with Banana Boat suntan lotion on the boat)!

Yes, That's a fly rod and fly in Jeff's happy hands!

And this Sailfish really liked pink!  Great job Jeff!

4th Annual trip of a lifetime!

Louis, Jeff, Ron and Mike on the ride home after day one!

    Imperial, good beer.

Brian was supposed to be with us, we missed him a lot... but we found a stand in for these pictures at the end of day one.

In case you can't tell, the weather was perfect!

The fishing fleet back in harbor in the afternoon.

This is the Marina @ Los Suenos, a SUPER nice marina.

Chillin' after a day of fishing for Sail on the fly rod!

Costa Rica shoreline, looks a lot different than Naples shoreline...

Me and Mike taking a dip in the Pacific Ocean @ Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica

One of our Canopy Tour Guides zipping away, try to follow the cable, it's a looooooong one and you are around 80-90 feet up in the air at least!

Mike and Al looking snappy in their helmets (for saftey)

A "demonstration" of how to brake on the zip lines.

    Mike, watch your step!

    Really?

Jeff and I doing some late night vitamin intake, resting up for another day of fishing!

This is Playa Hermosa just south of Jaco.  We were checking out the surfing competition (Saturday morning).

These three giants didn't have many leaves left, they were right on the beach!

    Surf competition!

    Nice Wave!

    Watch out bud!

The folks in the colorful umbrella were cheering on a friend in the competition.

Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica 11am, Yeah!
